Experience Sue has a wealth of experience and expertise in nutrition and dietetics, from over 40 years in the National Health Service. She continues to work part-time for the NHS in Bedfordshire, as well as freelance, and has been recognised for her specialist work in ME/CFS, Long Covid, nutrition support and weight management. She is also experienced in dealing with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, food intolerance, leading group work and delivering training courses.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME (CFS/ME) and Long Covid
In the last 15 years, Sue has become a leading expert on nutrition in ME/CFS and Long Covid, including writing evidence-based Food Facts for the British Dietetic Association website. She is co-editor of the ME Association cook books 'Cooking for ME' 1 and 2 (2020, 2021), and has produced many articles on diet and ME/CFS, including a chapter in the book 'Food Hypersensitivity', for medical and health professionals, (Blackwell Synergy, 2009). In March 2020 her interactive series 'Eating for Energy' was launched by Unmind, a company supporting workplace wellbeing through technology. In September 2022 she contributed to 'Living with ME and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome', (Penguin Life Expert series), edited by Dr. Gerard Coakley and Beverley Knops. She has also run national training sessions and workshops for health professionals. Sue is Honorary Dietetic Advisor for the ME Association and a former member of the British Association of Clinicians in ME/CFS (BACME). She has been in demand as a speaker and to lead workshops both at national level, (Primary Health Conference, Birmingham NEC, and CFS Research Conference (CMRC), Bristol), and to support local groups. Low FODMAP diet approach Sue is trained and experienced in using this promising, evidence-based diet approach to help functional gut symptoms such as bloating, abdominal pain, wind and diarrhoea.
